Department: Patient Access Weekly Hours: Full Time (37.5 hrs/wk)
Job Title: Patient Access Supervisor Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM

3-5 years experience in a Patient Access setting. Previous supervisory experience preferred.  Knowledge of PC.  Excellent reading, writing and math skills. Excellent communication skills.  Working knowledge of registration related software programs.  The ability to function in a fast pace environment.

Acts as role model and resource for the patient access staff in pre-surgical testing. Assists in the training of new employees and acts as a communication link between Patient Access Department and the PST/OR clinical leadership team. Evaluates all staff members work for accuracy, providing feedback and ongoing retraining related to performance quality, and assists in the identification and resolution of problems/issues. Ensures accurate demographic and insurance data.  Maintains focus on essential activities required to ensure data accuracy, financial clearance and proactively takes steps to ensure the steam lining of activities in accordance with departmental customer service goals.  Oversees   coordinates and communicates responsibilities to team members.  Plans, organizes, and implements departmental activities to enhance the service to our patients.  Additional tasks include: QA and Monthly Training Analysis, POS Cash Collection and well prepared and organized action plans. Analyzes wait times, workload and staffing level assessments. Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance job growth as demonstrated by active participation.
