Department: Wound Treatment Centers-Port Jeff and Melville Weekly Hours: Full Time
Job Title: Clinical Manager for Wound Care Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM *Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department. ** Must be willing to travel to both sites.

Current New York State RN License required.  BSN required, Masters preferred. Wound Care Certification required within 2 years of hire. BLS mandatory.  Three years progressive leadership experience appropriate to wound care in an acute care general hospital or an Outpatient Wound Center required.

Responsible for the coordination of clinical operations of the two Mather Hospital Outpatient Wound Treatment Centers.  Responsibilities include supervision, support and direction of the center staff in meeting the goal of providing quality patient care.  Acts as a liaison for the Hospital Nursing Administration.  In charge of Policy and Procedure development and implementation, Clinical Practice Guidelines and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the quality and quantity of nursing care delivered to patients in the Wound treatment Center.  Assures the staff is competent and scheduled to work according to the variable needs of the patients and center.  Assures that the Wound Treatment Centers operate effectively and efficiently in promoting patient care and implementing changes as necessary.  Understand and implement the Outpatient Quality Management Program.  Responsible for participating in the Nursing and Hospital Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance Activities and PI projects.  Serves as a Wound healing consultant to the staff.  Oversees the Nursing Case Management model.
